My blog is called 3 little buttons because I am one of three siblings. I am the oldest, my sister Sarah Kate is in the middle, and Charlie is the youngest. But why buttons? My sister's nick name is Buttons Mugillacudi. I'm pretty sure that it used to be Buttons Mugiless, but she says it's always been Mugillacudi. I'm probably mention some of my favorite books, surfing, softball and more! Like I said, I'm still getting used to my blog. Love, Ellie
Today at school we learned about kids in Haiti who have very little water, unsteady shelters, and sometimes no food. We watched a video about a girl living in Haiti. Her house wasn't very well put together. It was really sad. I don't think it's fair how we have a nice house, clean water, and enough food to eat when those people in Haiti don't have any of that stuff. Sometimes they have to eat something called Mud Cookies. They seem terrible. It's basically just dried mud with very little salt in it. It isn't very nutritious. It just keeps people from having stomach pains. Thankfully, this family has a better house and little electricity in there home now. They also have clean water, more food and education. But seeing that video about them in that old shaky house makes me very upset. It just wasn't fair.
Some of my favorite books are listed here. Enjoy! One of my favorite books of all time is The Thing About Jellyfish. It's about a smart girl named Susie Swanson. She just can't figure out how her best friend died so soon. Figure out what happens in Ali Benjamin's novel! Another great book is Hoot. Roy Eberhardt's family has moved multiple times and attended many schools. He's used to being the new kid and all that jazz. It wasn't until Roy saw the barefoot running boy that he realized life in Florida was finally looking up. Read Carl Hiassen's hilarious novel to find out what happens! Are you female child looking for new crafts to do, fun games to play, and love playing practical jokes? Then this book is for you! Read The Great Big Glorious Book for Girls by Rosemary Davidson and Sarah Vine! Every girl loves dolls, so how about learning how they're made! Read Jess Brown's The...
